Turquoise water, pristine white sand, protected by an offshore reef AND our beach is actually growing, not eroding like the beaches on the east coast of the US! See the light sand bars in the water forming a semi circle surrounding and nourishing the beach at Casa del Mar!

IF YOU ARE A WIND SURFER THEN YOU WILL LOVE THOSE 20/25 MPH WINDY DAYS BUT IF YOU JUST WANT TO RELAX ON A SUNNY DAY AND DON’T WANT TO FEEL THE WIND THEN JUST HEAD OVER TO STOCKING ISLAND AND YOU CAN CHOOSE AMONG DOZENS OF BEACHES WHERE THE WIND IS BLOCKED, THE SKYS ARE SUNNY, THE SAND IS WHITE AND THE WARM, CALM AND SHALLOW TURQUOISE WATER IS PERFECT FOR GOING FOR A RIDE ON THE TUBE

New York is freezing, Chicago is frozen and…
New York is freezing, Chicago is frozen and even Florida is in the 60′s so before heading to Exuma in the Bahamas we were just hoping for a little sun and maybe 72 degrees. Amazing how far you can go in less than an hour from Miami as it was warm and sunny even at 5 PM in Exuma when we landed. 5 minutes later we hit the beach at Casa del Mar and had a drink and a swim before heading to our Villa. Fantastic dinner at Tony Hope’s new waterfront restaurant called “Catch a Fire”. Out on the boat the next day and we found a new beach just 10 minutes from the Villa that we had somehow missed even after 8 years in Exuma. The water was clear and calm and the temperature was perfect. Warm enough to swim and sun but not not enough that you have to seek shade. Best of all the beach was all ours and we didn’t see another soul until we headed to the Chat N Chill for conch salad, grilled fish and a cold Sands beer. Repeat this a few too many times and you might not make it back to wherever you came from!
